Last night I went to my first San Diego Sockers game and I LOVED it! I am the newest SD Sockers fan.
I had been looking forward to this night all week even more so after my hectic Wednesday. So I was ready to cheer and have a good time. Now I have been to soccer games (LA Galaxy) but this was I am afraid to say it even better. Indoor soccer is more like hockey and I love hockey so maybe that is why I enjoyed it so much.
Our seats were at the corner of the field and they had glass partitions - well not glass but the heavy duty clear vinyl plastic - I don't know but you get the picture.
There were two little boys in front of me and they were so much fun - yes I was high fiving with the kids.Why? Because that's just what you do at the game you show kids that adults can have a good time without cussing and you encourage them to cheer and get a little crazy!!!
The 4th quarter was intense as the Sockers were behind with 41 seconds remaining they tied the game 4-4, and the Sidekicks goalie was not happy his name is Sagu - he was a bit cocky - and became even unhappier when the Sockers got a goal in the final seconds of the game.
I had a hard time falling asleep last night and the best thing I heard from Clarkey's mouth was "We're getting season tickets next year" I was like oh yeah. So today I am a bit hoarse and when I talk my voice trails off at times. Was it worth it oh yeah!!
