Am I Wearing New Socks or a Strangers Socks?

This morning I dug into the bottom drawer in my closet and pulled all the dark socks. I haven't paired them up just thrown them in there after I do laundry.  I usually pair them up but life has been a little hectic as I have fun while having a lot of crazy stuff go on at work.
So I found one pair of dark socks that was paired and I was excited as I thought oh wow my Halloween socks with a skeleton perfect pair to wear today. Then as I took them apart to put them on I realized they were a black and white paisley pattern. Not something I would typically purchase but kind of cute.
So I looked at them and wondered when did I buy these? Did I inherit them in the community laundry room ?
I recalled how they were paired and folded - yes, that was the way I fold and put them away so they have to be mine.
So the answer to the question on my post is - I am wearing new socks that I forgot I bought.
