I went to my first real live MLB game at Dodger Stadium with my neighbor Paul and his daughter Denise. My mom taught me about baseball when Fernando Valenzuela mania took over!!! I never knew my mom was such a baseball fan and I later learned she played softball as a kid. I was also once on the Big Screen at Dodger Stadium with my friend Rob A. You would think with all the Dodger firsts I would be a die hard fan but I am not.
I grew up in Orange County and my dad would often get tickets at the field view level right above the Angels dugout. I would go to the games with my friend Cathy P.
As a teenager and young adult I found myself at Angels games. I watched the Angels lose many games and not have good seasons. In 2002 I saw what my friend Perri and I call the "Comeback Kids" win the World Series.
This year I was fortunate to attend the All Star game and all that comes with it - I will post about this in the future. This was a goal I had and have accomplished.
So as the end of the season is nearing I can say that this season I was able to add 2 more stadiums to my stadium tour. I am putting pictures of stadiums where I have been and watched the home team play games. It is my hope to go to as many stadiums as possible.
Anaheim Angels is my home team
Dodger Stadium is where I learned about baseball
Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox) was a once in a lifetime opportunity and had sweet seats about 26 rows from the visitors dugout. Such energy that stadium has as well as history.
Petco Park (San Diego Padres) was this week and I fell in love with San Diego again
Ranger Park (TX Rangers) - will be in two weeks with my dear friends the TX Andersons.
So enjoy the pictures, listen to Cheap Seats on my playlist and maybe you will understand my love of baseball.
