Well we headed off to Long Beach and arrived in Irvine to get some macaroons and park the car in Fountain Valley. We then took our chauffer AM to lunch at the Lazy Dog. We arrived at the port and we were trying to figure out what to do with our luggage and asked this nice porter where we dropped our luggage off. She started to point us in one direction and then looked at her card and said never mind, I have room here.
We then checked in quickly and off we went passed a long line and then waited in another line to have our picture taken and then we were on board.
We arrived at our cabin which was on Deck 7; a few minutes later heard a knock on the door and it was our luggage. I quickly noticed that I should have brought a converter as the outlets were mainly European.
We then went and walked around the ship to get oriented with the layout.
When we set sail and it seemed unreal to me that I was finally setting on my first cruise - let me tell you boarding the ship was nothing like on the Love Boat.
That night we had dinner where Oliver was our main server - I don't recall the menu but the food was great but dinner ended late as we had the 8:15 dinner time. It was a very casual environment. I don't recall what else we did as I forgot my journal at home and didn't write anything down but I will try my best.
Met some teenage boys that were trying to win a prize on this game thing in the arcade and it looked easy but of course wasn't we had not set sail and they had already put in $30.
Learned you can hear everything in the other cabins.
Need to bring stuff to decorate your cabin door if it is a birthday, holiday, or celebration.
