Day 3 - Grateful for good friends

So yesterday I heard from two friends that go back in time at least 22 years. In the morning I heard from Mudmom via text. She has given me advice about my upcoming surgery and I am very grateful for her. I met her back in the Cypress Singles Ward and I admired her then for her spirit to just pick up and go. I always wanted a ride in her cute little blue convertible. We traveled to Rocky Point one year and had a blast. We have had a few adventures. I am grateful for her and her family all that they have done for me. Her mother, her husband, and her children have also blessed my life with the gift of service. I am glad they realized their dream to own a home and raise their kids in a good area but oh how I miss having them near.  

The day ended with a call from another friend, PL. It was a little challenging as my cell phone decided it would not work unless I had my headset on. So I had to walk back out to my car to get it and finally was able to get her call. PL has gone through a lot with me from having to put up with my messy Marvin ways to cleaning my dad's house after he passed. I am grateful for her as I always remember how she did the tough love speech after my dad's death and told me I needed to stop having a pitty party and live life and not feel sorry for me. I know I have told her how grateful I was to have her for a roommate and I hope she realizes that I truly am. I think last night I was truly touched as she shared her plans to be able to be here to help me through my surgery. She has a plan and hopefully it will work, and if it doesn't I hope she knows how I am truly once again touched by her charity.

I will take another day to post about 8 other people I am grateful for. By the way I not only post this on here but also on my little journal so I can have the thoughts engraved in my mind.
